Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – On the instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq, the police team of Kakrali Police Station carried out a major operation against kite flying and arrested an accused identified as Ali Raza son of Muhammad Akbar, resident of Buzurgwal. The operation was conducted under the leadership of SI Tahir Zaman following a tip-off.
According to police officials, around 300 kites and a large quantity of kite string were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspect, which were illegally stored for sale. A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway to trace other individuals and networks involved in the illegal activity.
DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq appreciated the performance of Kakrali Police on the successful operation and stated that kite flying is a dangerous and life-threatening activity that can result in serious loss of human lives. He emphasized that indiscriminate action against this deadly business will continue across the district to ensure the safety of citizens.
Gujrat Police have issued a clear message to the public that kite flying, kite manufacturing, and kite selling are strictly prohibited in the district, and strict legal action will be taken against violators. Citizens are urged to report any illegal activity immediately to their nearest police station or by calling the police emergency helpline 15 to enable timely action.
Police officials further stated that these operations are being carried out to protect the public and prevent accidents, and that law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to maintaining a safe and peaceful environment in Gujrat district.
