He expressed these views during a meeting with prominent Gujrat leader Chaudhry Aqaz Zia Metha, where detailed discussions were held on the city’s overall political situation and ongoing development projects.

Highlighting key development initiatives, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that a 100-cusec disposal station near Zahoor Elahi Stadium has become functional, which will resolve the long-standing issues of sewerage and urban flooding in Baradari and surrounding areas. He added that damaged roads across the city are being reconstructed on a priority basis, and roads deteriorated due to sewerage problems will also be repaired at the earliest.

The provincial minister further announced that, with the approval of the Chief Minister Punjab, electric buses will soon be introduced in Gujrat, providing citizens with a modern and environmentally friendly transport system. He also stated that construction of the Service Mor Flyover will be completed by the end of February, significantly improving traffic flow in the city.

During the meeting, Chaudhry Aqaz Zia Metha invited the minister to inaugurate the Jalalpur Jattan carpet road and apprised him of the issues faced by the Sok Kalan Union Council.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain assured that the opinions of local leaders would be given due importance in future public welfare projects. Chaudhry Aqaz Zia Metha stated that under the leadership of the Chaudhry brothers, quality development work is underway in all union councils of the constituency without discrimination, and efforts are being made to resolve public issues in Sok Kalan.
