Metro53 - Khairpur (Web Desk):A horrific collision between a passenger bus and a trailer on the National Highway near Tando Masti has resulted in at least 11 people losing their lives, while 6 others sustained critical injuries.
According to a spokesperson for the Motorway Police, the accident reportedly occurred due to negligence and careless driving by the bus driver. Upon receiving information, Motorway Police immediately reached the scene and launched rescue operations.
The injured and deceased were shifted to nearby hospitals with the help of rescue teams. Senior police officers are present at the accident site and are personally supervising the relief and rescue activities. Rescue 1122 and local police also rushed to the scene to assist in emergency response efforts.
Meanwhile, Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho has directed the SSP Khairpur to reach the site immediately and personally oversee the rescue and relief operations. The IG Sindh also instructed authorities to ensure clear routes for ambulances transporting the injured and to maintain smooth emergency activities in surrounding areas.
Traffic restoration and road clearance operations are currently underway by Motorway Police, while further investigations into the incident have been initiated.
