Metro53 - Jhelum (Web Desk):An alleged attack on renowned religious scholar and YouTuber Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza has been reported at Jhelum Academy, while the suspect involved in the incident has been arrested.
According to details, the incident occurred at Jhelum Academy where Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza was allegedly targeted, however, he remained completely safe. Sources said that the attacker was apprehended on the spot and handed over to the police, after which the suspect was shifted to a police station for further investigation.
Sources further revealed that Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza had just concluded his weekly lecture and was engaged in a photo session with attendees when a young man suddenly attempted to attack him while chanting slogans. Security guards present at the academy acted promptly and overpowered the attacker, preventing any loss of life.
Preliminary information suggests that the suspect has been identified as Muhammad Asim, a resident of Abbottabad, who works in the Sadiqabad area of Rawalpindi. Sources also claimed that the suspect may be linked to a banned outfit; however, no official confirmation has yet been issued by the police.
According to the academy administration, the attacker had entered the premises under the pretext of attending the lecture and suddenly attempted the assault. Following the incident, Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza remained unharmed and the situation was brought under control immediately.
Police officials stated that a thorough investigation into the incident is underway. The suspect is being interrogated, and further facts will be brought to light. Legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
