Metro53 - New Delhi (Web Desk):A tragic incident has been reported from the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, where a couple took their own lives after being unable to cope with the grief of losing their only son.
According to Indian media, the bodies of 48-year-old Krishna Patel and his 47-year-old wife Rama Bai were found hanging from a tree in the courtyard of their home on Sunday night. Police said that both died by suicide.
The couple left behind a four-page suicide note along with a video message.
In the note, it was stated that their 21-year-old only son, Aditya Patel, had died in a road accident in 2024. Since then, they had been living under unbearable grief. The parents described their son as the foundation of their world and their lives.
The note further said that after their son’s death, they were alive but unable to truly live. They wrote that no one should be held responsible for their decision and that they were taking this step in full consciousness.
In the video message, the couple requested their lawyer to transfer the compensation amount received after Aditya’s accident to their elder brothers.
