Metro53 - LAHORE (Staff Reporter) -- Kinnaird College for Women University (KCWU) organised a laptop distribution ceremony on Monday under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, aimed at promoting digital inclusion and supporting students’ academic advancement.
The event was attended by Fahad Shahbaz, focal person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, who was the chief guest. KCWU Principal Prof Dr Iram Anjum, faculty members and a large number of students were also present.
Laptops were distributed among eligible students to enhance their access to digital resources and facilitate learning and research activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shahbaz said the initiative reflected the government’s commitment to providing equal educational opportunities and investing in the country’s future through technology and education.
Prof Anjum welcomed the scheme, describing it as a significant step towards strengthening students’ academic capabilities and enabling them to compete in an increasingly digital environment.
The ceremony concluded with participants expressing optimism about the positive impact of the programme on students’ educational development.
