Metro53 - Rahim Yar Khan: A tragic accident occurred in Chak 125 P, Rahim Yar Khan, when the roof of a shop collapsed during the distribution of financial aid, killing eight women and injuring more than 30 others.
According to the District Police Officer (DPO), the women had gathered to receive funds from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) when the roof suddenly gave way. Injured women were immediately transported to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, where Principal Dr. Saleem confirmed that over 30 women were admitted for treatment.
The district administration launched emergency measures, calling in doctors and medical staff to handle the situation. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse and providing aid to the victims and their families.
