Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) — In a major operation in Kharian, authorities recovered 900,000 liters of illegally hoarded petrol and diesel from Al-Ghani Petroleum.
A joint team comprising the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), and Para Force carried out the raid. The operation targeted the well-known Al-Ghani petrol pump located in Chak Pirana.
Officials stated that fuel worth over Rs400 million was recovered during the कार्रवाई. The petrol and diesel had been stored in underground, unlicensed tanks within the premises. Authorities sealed the illegal storage tanks on-site.
According to FIA officials, legal proceedings are being initiated to register a case against those involved. Authorities added that amid the ongoing fuel and price crisis in the country, profiteers are engaged in illegal hoarding activities.
