Gujrat Development Projects Reviewed, Completion Before Monsoon Targeted

Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk) – A key meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held in Gujrat under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. The meeting reviewed ongoing development projects across the district in detail.

Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, members of national and provincial assemblies, and heads of various departments attended the session. Progress on public welfare projects was assessed, and instructions were issued to ensure their timely completion.

The provincial minister, while taking a briefing via video link, reviewed the pace of sewerage and infrastructure projects. Managing Director WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt informed that work on sewerage lines, disposal stations, and drainage systems is progressing rapidly across the city.

He added that projects in areas including Baghdad Colony, Rehman Shaheed Road, Phulrawan Chowk, and others are nearing completion, while desilting of drains is also underway.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on ensuring transparency, high quality, and timely completion of all projects. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to transforming Gujrat into a modern and clean city in line with the vision of the Chief Minister.
