Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk ) Chaudhry Salik Hussain, senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League and a federal minister, has termed the pen-down strike in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa an anti-public move, saying it disrupts essential services and creates difficulties for citizens.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, he expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the province and called for immediate and effective measures.

He said attacks on security forces, along with the targeted killings of political and social figures and religious scholars, reflect growing threats in the province that require a serious and coordinated strategy.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain said the provincial government’s decision to support a pen-down strike was regrettable, adding that such actions badly affect health, education and other administrative affairs, while increasing hardships for the public.

The delegation was led by Intikhab Khan Chamkani, president of the party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter and coordinator for overseas Pakistanis and human resources. Other participants included Bilal Muhammadzai, Abdul Basit and senior leader Riaz Khan.

During the meeting, Intikhab Khan Chamkani briefed the federal minister in detail on the political, administrative and overall security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
