Punjab Minister Approves Rs4.15 Million Grant for Gujrat Bar Association

Metro53 - GUJRAT: Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain has approved a grant of Rs4.15 million for the Gujrat Bar Association to support its welfare and development initiatives.

The cheque was formally handed over to Mirza Kashif Baig, secretary of the Gujrat Bar Association, during a ceremony attended by prominent members of the legal fraternity.

Among those present on the occasion were senior lawyer and former Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Ahsan Bhoon and noted legal expert Dr Khalid Ranjha, along with other members of the bar.

Speaking at the event, participants welcomed the financial assistance, stating that the funds would help improve facilities and support various administrative and welfare-related activities of the bar association.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the legal community, acknowledging the vital role lawyers play in upholding the rule of law and ensuring access to justice.

Representatives of the Gujrat Bar Association expressed their gratitude for the grant and hoped that similar support would continue in the future for the betterment of the legal profession and bar institutions.
