Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk): Pakistan Railways has announced the restoration of the popular Babu Passenger Train (205Up/206Dn) between Lahore and Lala Musa from August 20, 2026, providing commuters with an affordable and convenient travel option.

According to railway authorities, the restoration of the service will benefit thousands of daily passengers travelling between Lahore, Gujranwala, Wazirabad and Gujrat, particularly students, employees and other regular commuters.

Complete Timetable

As per the schedule issued by Pakistan Railways, 205Up Lahore–Lala Musa will depart from Lahore Railway Station daily at 4:40pm.

The train will travel through Gujranwala, Wazirabad and Gujrat before reaching Lala Musa at 7:45pm.

For the return journey, 206Dn Lala Musa–Lahore will depart from Lala Musa at 5:10am and reach Lahore Railway Station at 8:15am, after passing through Gujrat, Wazirabad and Gujranwala.

Five Economy Coaches

According to the railway administration, the Babu Passenger Train will consist of five economy-class coaches and one power van.

The restored service is expected to provide daily commuters, especially employees and students, with an economical and reliable means of transportation between the major cities along the route.

The resumption of the Babu Passenger Train is likely to ease transportation difficulties for residents of Gujrat, Lala Musa, Wazirabad and Gujranwala who regularly travel to and from Lahore.
