Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk) — Work on the Sialkot-Kharian-Rawalpindi M-13 Motorway project is progressing rapidly, with the six-lane motorway expected to improve connectivity between major cities in Punjab.
According to details, the M-13 is being developed as a modern six-lane motorway spanning approximately 117.2 kilometres. The government has assigned the construction of the project to the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) in a bid to expedite its completion.
The motorway will connect Kharian with the T-Chowk area near Rawalpindi, providing a faster and more efficient route between Sialkot, Kharian and Rawalpindi.
Once completed, the M-13 is expected to improve connectivity between Lahore, Gujrat, Kharian and Rawalpindi while helping ease traffic pressure on the M-2 motorway.
The completion of the M-13, M-12 and M-11 corridors is also expected to boost regional travel, connectivity and commercial activity.
