Metro53 - Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev has called for dialogue to resolve the ongoing disputes between Pakistan and India.
In an interview with Indian media, Kapil Dev said that while it is natural for players to have strong emotions for their country, shaking hands on the field of play should not be considered a big deal.
He emphasized that since Pakistan and India are neighboring countries, dialogue is essential for improving relations. “We should try to resolve issues like an elder brother, forget what has happened in the past, and move forward for a better tomorrow,” Kapil Dev remarked.
It is noteworthy that in the Asia Cup final, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the last over. However, the Indian team reportedly refused to collect the trophy, prompting a strong reaction from Asian Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
