Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): A 22-year-old man, Muhammad Akmal, from the village of Difar in Mandi Bahauddin, Pakistan, has married 26-year-old German doctor Salma after connecting online and building a long-distance relationship.
In an interview with the YouTube channel MY News TV, Akmal shared that their communication began through the online game Roblox. They chatted online for almost five months before Salma decided to travel to Pakistan to marry him. Akmal proposed to Salma on the very first day of her visit, and after overcoming a few initial hurdles, she arrived in Pakistan.
Salma shared that adjusting to village life and daily household chores like washing clothes, cleaning utensils, and baking bread was initially surprising but she was happy to be with her husband. Akmal mentioned that the wedding had full family support and cost approximately PKR 4.5 million, including travel and wedding expenses.
Salma holds dual passports—German and Bosnian—and intends to live in Pakistan with Akmal. She is also learning Punjabi and Urdu to improve communication. Akmal added that life after marriage has been joyful, with both partners living together with love and respect.
The couple’s simplicity, sincerity, and love have been praised on social media, with many viewing their marriage as a story of successful online friendship and cultural harmony.
