Metro53 - NEW YORK (Web Desk): Zehran Mamdani has strongly criticized the recent joint attacks on Iran by United States and Israel, calling them an illegal act of aggression.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Mayor Mamdani described the strikes as a “destructive escalation” that risks opening a new front of conflict in the region. He highlighted that bombings on urban areas, civilian casualties, and initiating new battle zones are outcomes that ordinary Americans do not support.
Addressing Iranian-American residents in New York, he assured them of their safety, stating that “Iranian-origin New Yorkers are an integral part of this city; you are our neighbors, and this city stands with you.”
