Metro53 - Tehran (Web Desk) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, has dismissed reports circulating in American media claiming that he was attempting to initiate contacts to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington.

According to the Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera, Larijani made a clear and categorical statement, saying, “We will not hold any kind of negotiations with the United States.”

He stated that Iran’s policy is based on protecting its sovereignty and national interests, and there is no truth to the speculations in this regard. Larijani’s statement is being regarded as significant in the context of recent regional tensions, where relations between Tehran and Washington are already strained.
