Metro53 - Tehran (Web Desk) – Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has described the reported killing of Ayatollah Khamenei as a “religious crime” that would have serious consequences.

In his statement, Araghchi said Iran has no war with regional countries and urged neighboring states to pressure the United States regarding any attack on Iran. He further stated that the U.S. attacked Iran during negotiations, calling it a betrayal of diplomacy.

Earlier, Araghchi had also termed what he described as a war against Iran by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu as illegitimate and unlawful. He added that Iran’s military would respond to aggression in a manner it deems appropriate.

There has been no independent international verification regarding the broader claims surrounding the reported incident.
