Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – On the directives of Punjab Food Authority Deputy Director Gujrat Rizwan Saeed, food safety teams intensified crackdowns across the district, conducting a total of 220 inspections at various food points.

According to officials, 70 food outlets were issued improvement notices to enhance hygiene and sanitation standards. In cases of serious violations, 13 establishments were fined a total of Rs188,000. Additionally, three samples were collected for laboratory analysis.

During the raids, 13.5 kilograms of expired and prohibited food items were confiscated and discarded. A spokesperson stated that operations will continue without discrimination to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public, and strict action will be taken against violators of food safety regulations.
