Metro53 - Washington (Web Desk) – Spain has once again declined to join the United States in military action against Iran. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed that Spain “received a clear message from President Trump yesterday and agreed to cooperate with U.S. forces.”
However, the Spanish government has denied these claims, stating clearly that “there is no approval from Spain for war.”
During a press briefing, Leavitt said in response to a question regarding Spain, “I believe they clearly heard the President’s message yesterday, and in my view, over the past few hours, they are prepared to cooperate with U.S. forces. The President wants all European allies to work with American forces. This is a long-term mission not only for the U.S. but also for Europe.”
Despite these remarks, Spanish authorities reaffirmed their refusal to participate in military operations against Iran, leaving the United States facing another diplomatic embarrassment.
