10 Children Rescued During Anti-Begging Drive in Gujrat

Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): On the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain, a team of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau carried out an anti-begging operation in Lalamusa and surrounding areas.

The joint operation included officials from the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Gujranwala, Punjab Labour Department, Rescue 1122, Punjab Police, and the Social Welfare Department Punjab.

During the campaign, 10 children were rescued, including seven boys and three girls. The rescued children were shifted to Gujranwala for legal and welfare procedures to ensure their safety and proper care.

Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain described the operation as an important step toward protecting children’s rights and promoting social welfare, directing the relevant departments to continue such actions on a regular basis.
