Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – Acting on the orders of DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq, police operations against drug and illegal liquor sellers continue across the district.
In this regard, Gujrat police conducted a raid in the Sohail Line area, arresting a suspect.
According to the police, SI Kaleem Ullah, in charge of Jattowal Chowki, along with a police team, was on patrol when they stopped a suspicious person near Jalal Cheema Colony and conducted a search.
The suspect identified himself as Zain, son of Asif, resident of Rangpura, Gujrat. During the search, the police recovered 5 liters of locally brewed liquor from his possession.
The police stated that the suspect failed to produce any license or permit for keeping alcohol. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.
Gujrat police emphasized that operations against such elements will continue without discrimination, aiming to keep society free from the menace of drugs and illegal substances.
