Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk): A woman was allegedly raped and then killed by her nephew in Gujrat, with police saying the victim was struck on the head with a brick.
According to Express News, the incident took place in the outskirts of Gujrat in Lala Chak village. The victim, identified as Fouzia, was allegedly assaulted before being fatally attacked.
Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and took the body into custody before shifting it to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The SP Investigation and other police officials also visited the crime scene, while forensic teams are collecting evidence as part of the investigation.
The incident comes amid growing concern over violence against women in Gujrat. According to the report, five women, including two minor girls, have been killed in separate incidents across the district during the past 48 hours, triggering fear and concern among local residents
