Metro53 - JHELUM (Web Desk): Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani said the government’s focus is to provide relief to the public on petrol prices, particularly to low-income and vulnerable segments.
He said motorcycle riders, Qingqi rickshaw drivers and students are receiving a Rs500 weekly relief on petrol.
Bilal Azhar Kayani said registration camps would be established outside petrol pumps to facilitate citizens. He added that people would be registered through the 9771 system at these camps.
He said awareness would also be created among workers and salaried employees to ensure that eligible people can benefit from the relief.
The minister said he would review the mechanism of the system to ensure transparency and prevent any loopholes.
