World’s Largest Markhor Statue Installed in Battakundi, Kaghan Valley

Metro53 - Gilgit (Web Desk): A towering statue of Pakistan’s national animal, the Markhor, measuring 105 feet in height and 38 feet in width, has been installed at the scenic tourist destination of Battakundi in the Kaghan Valley.

Work on the completion of the giant Markhor statue is progressing rapidly, and it is expected to become a new tourist attraction by next year.

On social media, many users are referring to this structure as the world’s largest Markhor statue.

According to initial estimates, around Rs. 53 million have been spent on the project so far, while its total cost is expected to reach Rs. 70 million upon completion.

Alongside the Markhor statue, a tower modeled after Italy’s famous Leaning Tower of Pisa is also being constructed, adding another feature of attraction for visitors.

According to the administration, waterproof and specially durable materials have been used to ensure the statue’s strength and to preserve its beauty against harsh weather conditions.

This unique structure under construction in Battakundi is expected to become a new photo spot and a landmark of the valley by next year.
