Metro53 - Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stated that Afghanistan must choose between Pakistan and Fitna al-Khawarij.
Addressing an Ulema and Mashaykh Convention, the Field Marshal said that terrorism targeting innocent Pakistani civilians and children is being carried out with the backing of the Afghan Taliban. He added that 70 percent of the elements involved in the formations of Fitna al-Khawarij entering Pakistan are Afghan nationals.
He said that in any Islamic state, no individual or group other than the state has the authority to declare jihad or issue a related decree. Referring to Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos, he stated that divine help from Allah Almighty was witnessed and felt during the operation.
The Chief of Defense Forces said that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon Pakistan the honor of being the protectors of the Holy Mosques, adding that there is a deep connection and resemblance between the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan.
He further remarked that nations which abandoned the intellectual and ideological legacy of their forefathers eventually fell into decline.
