Another Police Encounter in Gujrat: Wanted Criminal Zeeshan Babar Killed by Associates’ Firing

Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): In another police encounter in Gujrat, a highly wanted and dangerous criminal was killed by firing from his own accomplices. According to a police spokesperson, the deceased suspect, Zeeshan Babar son of Abdul Razzaq, resident of Chak Jano Kalan, was wanted in more than 31 cases of serious nature.

The spokesperson stated that the incident occurred late last night near Pul Ropuki in the jurisdiction of Mangowal Police Station, where police had set up a checkpoint. During this time, four suspicious individuals riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on the police party upon seeing them and fled the scene.

After the firing stopped, police conducted a search operation in the area and found one individual in an injured condition in a nearby wheat field. The injured suspect was identified as Zeeshan Babar, from whose possession a 30-bore pistol was recovered.

According to police, the injured suspect was immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment, where he disclosed that he was accompanied by his associate, Muhammad Zubair son of Muhammad Inayat, resident of Khasa Chak No. 33, Mandi Bahauddin. However, the suspect succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Police said that raids are being conducted to arrest the fleeing suspects, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
