Metro53 - Jhelum (Web Desk): In view of expected heavy rains, the district administration in Jhelum has imposed a complete ban on bathing, swimming, and crossing canals, streams, and water channels across the district to ensure public safety.
The orders were issued on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mirza Raza Ozgun as part of emergency precautionary measures. Authorities warned that the prevailing weather conditions could lead to sudden flooding and strong water currents, posing serious risks to human life.
The administration made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the ban. Citizens, especially parents, have been urged to keep children and youngsters away from water bodies and avoid unnecessary visits to such locations.
