Metro53 - GUJRAT: The district administration has enforced Section 144 across Gujrat and imposed a ban on bathing in rivers, canals, and streams as part of measures aimed at protecting public safety.
According to official sources, rescue teams from Rescue 1122 and personnel from relevant authorities are conducting continuous patrols along the Chenab River, Jhelum River, Upper Jhelum Canal, Saroki area, and other waterways across the district.
The administration has urged residents to avoid entering rivers, canals, and streams for swimming or bathing, warning that violations of the restrictions will result in legal action and the registration of cases against offenders.
